Static balance and proprioception evaluation in deaf national basketball players

Background: ‪Because of the proximity anatomical structures involved in auditory and vestibular functions, complications concerning inner ear may lead to problems involving both systems. This study investigated whether static balance knee proprioception deaf basketball players are different from those individuals with normal hearing. Material methods: ‪12 national 13 hearing were included. Static was evaluated using Biodex-BioSway Balance System. Knee assessed a Dualer IQ Digital Inclinometer active angle repetition test. Results: ‪The dominant-side mediolateral stability index non-dominant-side overall, anteroposterior, scores postural test compared (p<0.05).
